Maths Session

Test Of Divisibility for 7

Do you love maths , or you hate it? No other answers, because maths is very much about either Yes or No. Nothing like so-so.

Those who are bright at maths just love it and those who are bad at it just hate it.

Lets see a simple logic in maths today.

All of us have studied Tests of Divisibility in maths.
Test of divisibility for 2,3,4,5,6,... what about 7?
Its simple too

Test of divisibility for 7

Remove the last digit, double it, subtract it from the trucated original number and continue doing this, until only one digit number remains. If this is zero or seven , the original number is divisible by seven.
Lets demonstrate it with an example:

1603->160-2(3)=154->15-2(4)=7
 so 1603 is divisible by 7

Try some more examples.

Happy Learning!!
