TECH BUZZ : DNA replaces Hard drives

So far we are accoutred with devices like Hard Drive, Pen Drive... etc. to store our data, but hey watch out there’s coming a new data storage mechanism which is gonna change both the look and feel of your traditional data storage devices.

The problem with the traditional data storage devices is their short life span. In a hard drive, you can keep your data safe upto a maximum of 10-15 years, what after that , you need to replace it with  new one, this attrition of data storage devices is sufficient to prove the incapability and short life span of our traditional data storage devices.

To overcome with this problem , scientists came up with a revolutionary idea of storing data in DNA . Yes! your new data storage device could be a DNA strand very soon.
In their research , scientists found that,  just 1 gram of DNA found in living organisms is theoretically capable of storing 455 exabytes of data, that is equivalent to, all the data of internet giants like facebook and google , with a room to spare.

Also scientists discovered that , DNA strands can survive to safeguard the data stored in them in readable form for approximately  10,000 years time when fossilized. And if frozen can survive upto million of years.

Scientists are looking for the ways to combine these two properties of DNA, its storage capacity and its stability in fossilized forms to develop very robust data storage devices, that can store plenitude of data for millions of years.

Hola! Nature has the solution for it all already :0, lets learn more from Mother Nature.
